Palm Springs Grand Opera is presenting its inaugural production with the classic, beloved Mozart opera 'The Magic Flute' which will be sung in German with english dialogue. The stunning fantasy world of The Queen of the Night and Sarastro will mesmerize you and the antics and hilarity of Papageno (the bird man) will delight!

An all star cast of international and local talent will perform the ritual of this poignant and timeless tale. This was the last opera Mozart ever composed before his death at the age of 35. It was created to amuse the patrons of the 'People's Theatre' and was as much Vaudeville in it's nature as it was an exquisite opera when it premiered.

The piece contains humor, sorrow, enlightenment, action, love and revenge. It is a statement on what makes the world a place worth living in and what we would be better off without. It is a rite of passage and an almost sacred type of testament to the glory of humanity.
